I took these pictures from the Shikellamy State Park Overlook a day before the Western and Northern Branches of the Susquehanna River crested at Sunbury, when it did crest the height of the river was 31.66′ which is about 4′ lower than the height of the river when it crested during the 1972 flood.

Facilities: Picnic Facilities, Toilets, Water and A Playground
Elevation: ~800′
Restrictions: No Alcoholic Beverages, Dogs Must Be Leashed, Day Use Only, Access Road To The Overlooks Is Closed From October To April.
